UNCONVENTIONAL APPROACH

Whether you're just starting out or returning after years away, these lessons are designed to help you play with freedom, expression, and skill — in the styles you actually love: jazz, gospel, r&b, pop, and blues.

These aren't cookie-cutter lessons. You'll get a customized learning path that meets you where you are — whether you're learning to play by ear, make sense of chord progressions, or improvise like the greats.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • How to play your favorite songs without sheet music

  • Chord progressions, voicings & inversions used in real-world music

  • Ear training & how to recognize progressions by sound

  • How to improvise with feel, not fear

  • How to accompany yourself or others with confidence

  • Rhythmic feel: swing, pocket, and groove

  • A foundation in theory — taught through songs, not worksheets

WHO IT’S FOR

  • Teenager & Adults (Beginners to Advanced)

  • Creatives who want to express themselves through piano

  • Singers, songwriters & producers who want to strengthen their skills

  • Anyone bored by traditional lessons and ready to feel the music

OFFERING

Most piano teachers will rush you through rigid course books just to say you’re improving — not because you’re actually learning to play.
But checking boxes isn’t the same as making music. That’s why lessons here are rooted in the music you actually love — not dusty classical pieces you’d never choose to play. The focus is always on real-world musicianship: improvisation, ear training, chords, and groove. It’s structured with intention, but always centered around your growth — not perfection.

I offer customized in-person lessons in Los Angeles and online via FaceTime or Google Meet. Session times are weekly 45 min or 60 min lessons. Rates are available upon request.
